It Sunday, November and its 77 degrees outside. So what's a native Floridian to do? How about share my #sundayfunday insider tips for a 5 mile trek around the lovely island of Palm Beach.
Park at Royal Poinciana Plaza
Parking can be an issue when it comes to the island of Palm Beach. So trust me when I say don't park illegally because you will get a ticket and it won't be cheap. I recommend that you park at the Royal Poinciana Plaza just over the north bridge (last bridge) into Palm Beach. The Plaza has lots of open shopping and restaurants so just park further out away from local traffic.
Palm Beach Bike Path
Head south passing the Rockefeller Estate, which makes for a great tour when you have time. Follow the paved path around the estate and alongside the intercoastal. The views looking out over the inter coastal are breathtaking, breathe in that beautiful sunshine. On a sunny day the water is filled with boats enjoying the weather of Florida. You are now walking between the intercoastal and multi million dollar estate homes. Just stay on the path and cross over Okeechobee Rd. to walk along side the marina. Be sure to imagine yourself on one of the many large yachts parked in the marina, sitting on the deck, sipping a glass of champagne in a long stemmed lead crystal glass, of course its Palm Beach.
Worth Avenue
Palm Beach, Worth Avenue where the upper elite shop. This one street is about as highend as it gets. You have Gucci, Prada, Tiffany, Ralph Lauren and the list goes on. It feels as though you are in a Mediterranean village in the south of France with all of its nooks and winding walkways and beautiful bougainvilleas. Worth Avenue ends at a huge clock tower positioned ocean front in from of the famous Palm Beach Atlantic Ocean.
Palm Beach Island is very walkable .........Enjoy all it has to offer.
